Abstract / summary

Reports a semi-technical underground coal gasification trial conducted in the Experimental Mine Barbara as part of the RFCS HUGE project. The study describes the underground georeactor, operating conditions, gas production and efficiency, together with operational and safety issues observed during the trial.
